The San Francisco office has an opening for a Financial Analyst to join our Finance Analysis group. The Financial Analyst will assist in the preparation of various financial reports, analyses, and presentations and participate in the annual budget development and forecasting processes. Primary responsibilities of the position include preparing various financial reports, analyses, and presentations for the financial analysis manager, director of finance, CFO, practice section leaders, office administrators, senior management and the executive management team; assisting various business groups, offices and sections with strategic analyses of industry sectors, geographic regions and key competitors for the purpose of business development efforts including identification of potential clients, lateral hires and merger candidates; and identifying and researching monthly, quarterly and annual variances to budget and forecast, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement. The successful individual will ensure that proper financial processes and deadlines are met, develop and implement internal processes and procedures, and assist in the coordination and execution of these to support and comply with FP&A policy and procedures. He/She will participate in the development of the annual budget, long-range plan and monthly forecast and consolidate and prepare the monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting package for department managers.
Experience: The successful candidate should have extensive analytical and financial modeling experience; exhibit efficiency, collaboration, candor, openness, and results orientation, be service oriented and team focused with a high degree of initiative and follow through; a minimum BA/BS degree in Finance or Accounting; and at least three to six years related experience, preferably in a large law firm or professional services environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent computer skills with MS Office (Excel pivot tables, Power Point presentations, Access and Word). Additionally, experience with CMS.Net, MS Analysis Services, MS Reporting Services, Aderant's BI applications and SQL considered a plus. Submit Application - Be sure to reference job number.
